Food Review: Brewerkz @ Riverside Point, Singapore

Located in Clarke Quay along the Singapore River, Brewerkz has been serving authentic American cuisine since it was first established in 1997. The outlet has a great music playlist that gives off the perfect chill vibes for a good catch-up session with friends. Their high quality, award-winning craft beers also makes this microbrewery a popular spot for after-work drinks.

We had the opportunity to try out some of the new lunch menu items at their Riverside Point outlet. Their set lunches are $16.50++ each and are available from 12pm – 3pm. The set comes with a choice of soup, Caesar salad, or house salad for starters, the main course, a soft drink and 1 scoop of homemade Chocolate, Vanilla, or Strawberry ice cream for dessert. And if you prefer a beer, you could always add $5++ for a pint of your choice! I don’t know about you, but I thought that it was quite a steal!

We opted to have the soup for our starters. The Soup of the Day was Chicken Noodle Soup. Overall, the soup was very tasty and had very familiar home-y vibes.

One of the mains that we ordered was the Grilled Pork Chop. The pork itself was seasoned well and cooked to perfection; crispy on the outside whilst remaining tender and juicy on the inside.
The mash potato was nice and tasty. It was made in the rustic style with some chunky bits of potato. Simply delish! The cherry sauce was homemade and went together perfectly with the pork chop.

The Grilled Sea Bass was a pleasant surprise. The flesh of the fish was fresh and succulent and the skin was cooked to a nice crisp. The citrus infused quinoa seemed to have a Mexican influence that was slightly sour but complemented the fish.

We also ordered the Pasta Puttanesca. The pasta itself was of good quality and was cooked al dente. They were generous with their cheese and other toppings like olives.

Finally, for dessert, we ordered one of each flavour of ice cream. The ice creams were made in-house and extremely creamy. Personally, I would’ve preferred stronger tastes of the flavours though.

Overall, their lunch sets are quite affordable as you get a 3-course meal and a sizeable portion for the price that you’re paying. We would definitely be back to try out more of their menu!
