Lifestyle Review: Nilufer Tea – Bringing Nature into your Cup

If you have been following us for a while, you would know that we enjoy the finer things in life whilst remaining healthy and respectful of the environment. My personal favourite beverage is tea, and I do enjoy unwinding with a good cuppa. So, when we heard of Nilufer Tea, we were excited for the opportunity to work together.

Nilufer Tea’s slogan is “Bringing Nature into your cup”, and this is evident as they focus on making quality tea whilst encouraging environmentally friendly practices. They are a social enterprise of sorts as they rely on small, independent farmers throughout Japan for their ingredients; hence, boosting employment opportunities in farming villages while encouraging the demand for sustainable and fair farm practices. Their herbs and flowers remain uncrushed and uncompressed; hence, ensuring that customers get a heightened experience with their blends. Every blend is free from artificial additives, preservatives, and pesticides. It certainly doesn’t hurt that every brew is so Instagram worthy!

Each of Nilufer’s Herbal Blends contains different health benefits. The Ginger Rooibos has a spicy and earthy flavour and can help boost the immune system. For those of you who worry that caffeine will keep you up all night (I have a few friends who have this adverse effect), or if you have an irritable stomach, rooibos tea may be your choice as it is free from caffeine and low in tannins. Red rooibos tea is also said to ease severe stomach cramps and bring relief from asthma, eczema, insomnia, and other related conditions. When drinking the Ginger Rooibos tea, you’ll notice that the first flavour that hits your tongue is the mint followed by the aftertaste of the ginger. It is refreshing but I personally did not enjoy this (because it wasn’t my cup of tea. Haha. Pun intended).

The Blue Ocean Tea is a lovely blend of butterfly pea, blue mallow flower, mint, lemongrass, and lavender. The butterfly pea flower is rich in antioxidants. Studies have shown that it has the ability to protect the skin against premature aging, and it also has the ability to fight against internal inflammation.

Rose Paradise is predominantly a blend of rose and hibiscus. The blend produces a lovely, red tone that is attractive and pleasing to the eyes. The tea has a tangy floral flavour. Rose is said to be able to help calm the mind and maintain a woman’s hormonal balance. It is also high in Vitamin C and can help maintain youthful-looking skin.

Overall, Nilüfer provides quality herbal tea blends that make you feel good about yourself from the inside out. Head on over to their website to check out their selection!
