I was scrolling through Sephora’s phone app one day, when this Nourishing Sleep Mask caught my eye! The idea behind the Nourishing Sleep Mask is that it is used as the last step of your nighttime routine to “seal in” the products that you applied before it, like your serums and moisturiser. It provides a nutrient-rich veil of moisture while you sleep.

The formula is packed with fatty acids to plump and regenerate, strengthening arganine , and fruit & flower oils to deeply soothe your skin. The treatment is supposed to leave your skin feeling silky-smooth to the touch and looking more plump. And the cherry on top? It’s paraben free too! So OF COURSE I had to put it to the test! (Can I still say… #IDidItForTheBlog?) I was excited to try this out as it was an opportunity for me to pamper my skin without having to put in that much effort.

So here’s my first impression of the product… The smell was pleasant and nothing too overpowering. For some reason, I thought that it would have a thicker consistency but instead it was lightweight and spreadable. Although it felt like I was applying a layer of cream on my face without it soaking in, like moisturisers do. I noticed that it leaves an oily sheen on my skin. Honestly, I was quite doubtful that I’ll see any visible difference in the morning, but I was excited to be proven wrong.

The following day my skin was nice and hydrated. There was no oily residue like I expected and my skin did look refreshed. It’s a great mask for people like me who find it hard to set aside time in their hectic schedule, or are too lazy to sit down for 10-15 minutes waiting for the mask to soak in.

This mask is an in-flight skin-saver, especially for those with dryer skin like mine! Just apply a layer onto your skin before your flight and leave on it on for the duration of the flight to lock in moisture.

The mask worked well on me but if you want a sleep mask with a more substantial feel, this may not be the one for you.
