Cafe Review: The General Sherman @ Murdoch, Perth

Saturday mornings are the best time to go out and explore new cafes… And after many failed attempts, I finally had the chance to visit The General Sherman.

Located right opposite Fiona Stanley Hospital is a cute little cafe, perfect for a little me-time as it’s quiet on the weekends.

The decor in the cafe has an industrial meets organic kind of vibe. With all the natural light shining in from the full-panel windows that is surrounding the cafe to the rustic pieces, I couldn’t help but love the brunch feels that I was getting. In addition to that, I love the fact that they had a kitchen, which basically means that I’m free from the fridge food choices! Yay!

After much deliberation, I finally decided on an iced coffee($5) and the Pulled Pork Benedict ($19) as I felt that it was a unique dish that you wouldn’t usually find other cafe menus. And I’m glad to say that it did not disappoint!!

Needless to say, I polished off every bit of my yummy brunch, from the tender, flavourful pulled pork to the yummy egg-yolk oozing poached eggs. The iced coffee was smooth to the very end and I didn’t even add in sugar! (This coming from someone who always needs sugar in their coffee btw.)

This cafe is definitely one of the most friendly cafes that I’ve been to and the service is impeccable. The staff are friendly and they definitely do not shy away from having a chat. I can’t wait to come back here for my next chill sesh.
